Chia-Pin Yu

Scholar & Forest Therapist

Dr. Chia-Pin Yu is a professor at the School of Forestry and Resource Conservation at National Taiwan University (NTU) and also serves as the Deputy Director of NTU’s Experimental Forest. From 2019 to 2020, he was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University. He was listed among the top 2% of the most-cited scientists globally in the Stanford/Elsevier ranking in 2022, 2023, and 2024. His research interests include nature, recreation, and human health, forest therapy, health tourism, and the application of new technologies (such as virtual reality) in nature-based recreation and tourism research. His research adopts evidence-based approaches to understand the physiological and psychological health benefits of nature-based recreation experiences from a health perspective.
